After I completed my degree in BSc Food Science at the University of Stellenbosch I followed my dream and completed the City & Guilds Diploma in Culinary arts. I started my own catering business called “KaroCatering” that specializes in exclusive wedding, theme cakes, family and corporate functions.

Windsurfing has been a big part of my life and my greatest passion since the age of 12. Since 2016 I have become ambassador to several world class brands: Severne Sails, Zulu fins, Surf’n’Curve, Starboard, Gypsea, Cape Sports Center, Wind Water Waves and of course Dermasure and Zone Skin Care products. I also became a team rider for World of Windsurf and have been very fortunate to use some of the best windsurf equipment in the world!

In 2017 and 2018 I competed at the Mauritius IFCA Gran Prix and Defi Wind became the African Slalom champion as well as the first woman in the world to complete an 80km windsurf race! I also officially became the fastest woman in Africa after setting the African women’s speed record at the World Speed Record event in Luderitz in November 2018 as one of the 4 fastest women in the world at over 41 knots average over 500m!
